This section of citrine with a softly rounded, flame-like silhouette on a metal base is entirely covered with a dense cluster of large, sharply terminated crystals. Their warm honey-amber colour is linked to the presence of iron compounds, while the pale, almost white crystal bases give the surface luminosity and depth. The smoothly worked, dark back emphasises the compact shape of the piece, and the stand presents it as a standalone sculptural form.
The colour of citrine may fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The crystals are best cleaned with a dry, soft brush.
