Serpentine

Serpentine in Soft Olive Light

Pale yellow-green gives way to deeper olive in these serpentine stones, with cloudy patches and darker mottling creating a richly varied appearance. Broad, bright reflections sweep across the smooth-looking, glossy surfaces, bringing a lively contrast to the softer colours beneath.

Rounded outlines range from oval to gently triangular and broadly squarish, always with curved edges. Speckles and occasional line-like markings interrupt the cloudy green, offering small details to follow with your eyes rather than one uniform field of colour.

In an imagined cavern, this palette could become pale green walls caught by wandering light, with olive shadows gathered in their folds.
