Sapphire bracelet – Chips

Sapphire’s Shifting Blues

Deep blue and blue-violet give this sapphire chip bracelet a richly varied character. Pale grey-white patches break through the darker colours, while near-black areas add depth and scattered brown and gold-coloured marks offer small surprises. Bright highlights catch on the glossy surfaces, bringing speckles and mottled patches into view. The rounded, irregular chips vary in size, giving the oval loop a gently uneven outline.

The colours suggest a small imagined cove, with ink-dark water and pale shallows touched by light. Around the open centre, the changing chip shapes keep the outline lively, while the mottling makes each patch of blue a little different. There is pleasure in noticing the smaller details, especially those scattered gold-coloured marks, like tiny lights across dark water.
