A Warm Glow in a Selenite Heart
Milky white with pale grey shading, this selenite candlelight heart has a softly rounded outline: two curved lobes, a shallow notch and a rounded point. Fine, closely spaced streaks cross the upper surface, giving it a delicate texture that contrasts with the smoother-looking sides.
Soft highlights cross the white surface. Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek moon goddess, a reference to the pale, moon-like reflection this crystal can show. It is intended for a small tea light or LED tea light.
The circular recess suggests a little moonlit garden, as though an imagined warm lantern had found its way into a pale stone hollow. Its golden light would meet the milky curve around it, a tiny garden enclosed by a heart.
